I.INTRODUCTION

Made by Jay Pavlina (his website Exploding Rabbit can be found here http://www.exploding-rabbit.com/ ), this game is a faithful recreation of the original Super Mario Bros. NES game. However, In this flash game, you can play through SMB as 6 other characters besides the mustashed Mario!
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/
534416

Notes: You can save your game, which makes getting through it much easier. When starting a new game, you can choose to play as one character through the whole game. There are now 5 difficulties; Very Easy, Easy, Normal, Hard, and Very Hard which basically there are a few differences. (Easier modes give you more lives/more time and enemies dies faster, Harder modes give you less lives/less time and enemies take more hits)

II.BASIC CONTROLS

Now, controls are different for all characters, but we'll get into that later. There is a nifty tutorial to let you know what the buttons do, but to re-iterate, I will tell you what they do beforehand. All you need to know is that the game is played with 7 keys on a keyboard (you can also play on a gamepad, which I have not tried yet), the default keys are...

Z Key:Jump / (Select On Menus)
X Key: Run(Mario Only)/Attack
C Key: Special Attacks (Certain Characters Only)
Left,Right,and Down Arrow Keys: Moving Left and Right/ Ducking (Certain Characters Only)
1 Key: Pause Game
How To Save Your Game: (On the Pause Screen, You can Save your game to a txt file, saving the level you were at when you saved, as well as all your power-ups and lives. The game has a load option at the title screen, so make sure you save the document before you close or leave the game.)

The good news is, these controls can be customized to fit your way of playing! So however you want to play with any of these charaters is how YOU decide.

III.CHARACTERS

In Super Mario Bros. Crossover, you have the option as playing as Mario (which would be the same as regular SMB, so it's a bit boring, but the option is still there), Link (from the Legnd of Zelda Series), Bill R. (from the first Contra game), Simon Belmont (from the first Castlevania game), Mega Man (from the Mega Man series, my personal favorite), and Samus Aran (from the Metroid Series). Each character can play through SMB in a their unique way. They have different play controls, and I have their details written here for your information.

Mario
Mario is pretty standard. You Run, Jump, and Swim your way through the Mushroom Kingdom on your way to save the princess.

Z=Jump
X=Run
C=N/A
Fire Flower attack=Fireball

Forms: Mario/Super Mario/Fire Flower Mario
Notes: There's a secret available that lets you swim through all the levels in the game as mario, regardless of if their underwater or not.

Link
Now here's an interesting character. Like I said, each character plays differently, so you can dash through the Mushroom Kingdom as the Hero of Time (Link) if you wanted to.

Z=Jump/ While Jumping, hold attack and up or down to do an upward or downward slash
X=Sword Attack
C=Boomerang
Fire Fower Attack=Shoot Sword

Froms:Link/White Tunic Link/Red Tunic Link

Notes:Link is short, no matter what form he's in, so you'll have no trouble dodging things and entering small passages. His boomerang stuns enemies, which is really helpful.

Bill R.
Here's where things are REALLY different from a Mario game. Bill from Contra is no stranger to enemies, but he's packing firepower, and by that I mean guns. He can fire his gun in all 8 directions, he can duck, and is generally a fairly good character.

Z=Jump
X=Fire Gun
C=N/A
Fire Flower Attack=Spread Shot(WOO HOO!)

Forms:Bill(regular gun)/Machine Gun/Spread Shot

Notes: The spread shot is the most godly weapon in the game, and playing with Bill is generally very easy. The only thing holding him back is his jump control, which is somewhat hard to handle.

Simon Belmont
Unless you've played Castlevania, Simon's jumping mechanics may throw you for a loop. It certainly takes some time to get used to, but his unlimited axes and double-jump(THANK GOD) make up for it, IMO.

Z=Jump (again, for double-jump)
X=Whip
C=Throw Axe
Fire Flower Attack=Flaming Whip

Forms:Simon/Chain Whip/Flaming Whip

Notes:Like I said, Jumping mechanics WILL KILL YOU. However, there is a new option on easy mode to let Simon's Jumps be a little more managable my being able to move in midair. Just be cautious, and use your axes to take out faraway enemis and TONS of blocks. This thing hacks through everything, and when in form 3, you can throw 3 of them one after another.

Mega Man
I'm a true blue bomber fanatic, and so my first playthrough of the game was Mega Man alone. It's always fun playing as him, he's very well-rounded, and I see no real errors in the way he plays. Except maybe that now the only way you can jump high is by using Rush, which is SUPER ANNOYING.

Z=Jump
X=Shoot/ Hold for Charge Shot (with helmet)
C=Summon Rush Coil (jump on him for height)
Fire Flower Attack=Fire Storm

Forms=Helmetless Mega Man/MM with Helmet/Fire Storm

Notes:If you have never played a Mega Man game, SHAME ON YOU. He's quite easy to control, and fits snugly in my gaming grasp.

Samus Aran
Pretty fun to play as. Samus is from Metroid and she's the original kickass bounty hunter.

Z=Jump
X=Shoot/ Lay Bomb while in Morph Ball Mode
C=N/A
Fire Flower Attack=Wave Beam

Forms:Armorless Samus/Armored with Long Beam/Wave Beam

Notes: Form 3 Samus is sweet, and she's actually very good in this game. Great attack range, jumps really high, etc. I don't have much to say about her awesomenss, but I think you get the picture.

Ryu
No, not Ryu from Street Fighter you numbskulls, Ryu from Ninja Giaden. He's a brand new character from a leter verison of the game, and I can release guide information on him now.

Z=Jump (He can't jump high, so climbing on walls and pressing the jump key is the only way to platform here)
X=Sword Attack (Hold for a second and a half for Windmill shuriken when powered up)
C=Small Shuriken

Forms: Grey Outfit/Blue Outfit with Windmill Shuriken/Red outfit with Large Windmill Shuriken and Long Sword.

Notes: Ryu's climbing ability and windmill shuriken are a lot of fun to mess around with and explore areas you normally wouldn't be able to. He's a lot of fun, and a great new character.

.

So what's the deal here? Phineas and Ferb is a great show from the minds behind the classic show from my childhood "Rocko's Modern Life." Problem is, IT'S ON DISNEY CHANNEL. Now as much as Disney XD doesn't suck as much, IT'S STILL DISNEY. What's so bad about this, you ask? Well it's competing with such things as "The Suite Life On Deck(crap)," "Hannah Montana(SHIT)," and "The Wizards Of Waverly Place(ANNOYINGLY REPETITIVE)." The only thing I can hope for is that the show still survives because of how good it is.

It still kicks major ass though.

p.s. Above=GREATEST SHOW ON DISNEY CHANNEL and My FOURTH FAVORITE SHOW OF ALL TIME.
p.p.s Just go watch it.

EBF2: Pro Tips!

Wanna know what happens when you die in this game? If you're asking yourself that question you're either
A. Very good at video games and have never lost.
or B.Very curious.
The gist of it is GAME OVER, but the creator thought to throw in some helpful "Pro Tips" for defeating bosses or tough waves of enemies. So I went through the trouble of going on Epic difficulty and dying at EVERY WAVE in the game, so I could show you the tips. Pretty nice of me, huh?

The titles of the tips are my words, but these tips are not my words, so I'll quote the creator's tips.

Tip#1:Death By Kittens(The first few kitten waves)
"You got slaughtered by kittens!?You suck!"

Tip#2:Kitten Fortress of DOOM(Kitten Cart Boss)
"Knock over the fort with fire and black death."

Tip#3:Evil Bees(The bees after the boss)
"Might wanna use high accuracy attacks, or just stun them."

Tip#4:The Mecha Guardian...OF PAIN!(The Guardian Boss)
"Try to seal or stun Guardian to stop him from healing."

Tip#5: Jellyfishing! Jellyfishing! Jellyfishing!(Jelly fish after Guardian/Checkpoint)
"Jellies are weak against Ice btw."

Tip#6: Am I not turtle-ly enough for the turtle club?(Ice and Fire Turtles after Jellyfish)
"Better kill Turtles quick before they buff their Defense."

Tip#7:Icy Hot Golem of Changing(Elemental Golem Boss)
"Watch out for when the Golem changes his weakness."

Tip#8:Poking Party! (Turtles and Sandworm's tail)
"Turtles have really low evade, so spam Iceberg or Soul Eater's Unleash."

Tip#9:That's the Sandworm's WHAT!?(Sandworm's Head and Tail)
"Brace for mass status effects!The Sandworm is one of the only bosses that can be poisoned."

Tip#10:The Spirits beckon thee(Spirits after the Sandworm/Checkpoint)
"Might wanna use Anarchy's Unleash to debuff these guys."

Tip#11:The Twins of Death(The Twin Skeleton Hydra Boss, the coolest in my opinion)
"Make sure to kill the other head before it revives the first! Also, blinding them may help!"

Tip#12:Flying robots with drills!(The Flybots before the final boss)
"Air Strike should help clear out these guys."

Tip#13:Valkyrie Tank,Now with more Nukes!(Valkyrie Tank, the final boss)
"The lower the Tank's health, the faster the turrets respawn!"

Well, there ya go. Help from the creator himself.

I feel like I missed one.

And Now for some tips from me!

The Kittens(Just kill with offensive moves, you can't suck THAT badly.)
KItten Cart Boss(Fireball, flare to blind it, and basically kill it with anything.)
Bees(Use fireball, and attacks with good accuracy.)
Guardian Boss(Seal or stun his body to stop his healing, and destroy the sheild first so he'll take more damage. I recommend Thunderbolt and Air Strike.)
Jellyfish(Use Glacier and Iceberg.)
Turtles(Kill them with their respective weaknesses, and try to stun them. One turn and they could buff their stats by a lot.)
Elemental Golem(Use his respective weakness against him, but I recommend using Air Strike since it's ALWAYS his weakness.Plus, he has a pattern of 2 attacks, then change, 2 attacks, change, etc. So capitalize on that, and try to seal him.)
Sandworm's Head and Tail Boss(Try to Poison and Stun them. Their attacks hurt and almost always leave a bad effect. Just keep attacking, and try to get rid of the tail first.)
Spirits(Debuff them first with Anarchy's Unleash. Then kill them with fireball or pulsar afterwards.)
Twin Skeleton Hydra Boss(Make sure to Blind and Seal them. They will kill you with whatever they got. Make sure to kill the other head quickly or else you're still in for double trouble!...sorry.)
Flybots(Spam Air Strike. That's it.)
Valkyrie Tank Boss(Use Air Strike and thunderbolt on the top, then just repeat the process taking out any turrets or Lance, the pilot, when necessary. Make sure to have Slime Bunny regen you most of the time, cuz when all the turrets are attacking you, that one turn could be your last.)

Good luck! I am so glad I get to write about such an awesome flash game.

Epic Battle Fantasy 2 Abilities Guide

You can play Epic Battle Fantasy 2 here.

I play EBF and EBF2 by the wonderful matt-likes-swords (Kupo707 on Deviantart) an awful lot, and I figured, there's so much to this game, especially the new abilities system and the many ways you can play. So I thought "Why not list the abilities, what they do, and how to obtain them?" Now take note, cuz this took me AWHILE to make. But now you can play smart with this knowledge. These abilities are all based on how you play through the game, and the game rewards you with abilities. This list is probably not complete, so if you see an ability in this game that I have not listed, please inform me in the comments below so I can add it.
